“John Hardy uses more than 99% of reclaimed gold and silver in the making of our jewelry.”

Reclaimed gold and silver are materials recycled from old jewelry, watches, and other products that are refined for reuse. This helps minimize the environmental impact associated with mining new raw materials. In addition, all precious metal scrap generated during our jewelry manufacturing process is collected and refined for reuse, supporting our commitment to minimizing waste. Our suppliers provide the percentage of reclaimed gold and silver in the materials supplied to John Hardy.

“John Hardy uses 100% renewable energy to run our production facilities through the purchase of Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs).”

Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs) represent electricity generated from renewable energy sources. John Hardy purchases RECs equivalent to 100% of the electricity consumed across our production facilities, offices, and retail stores. This supports the generation of renewable electricity and contributes to the transition toward a lower-carbon energy system. Records of our REC purchases are maintained to substantiate this claim.

“Our jewelry production process has achieved zero industrial waste to landfill.”

Industrial waste refers to waste generated from our jewelry manufacturing process and does not include office, retail, or general waste. John Hardy has achieved zero industrial waste to landfill by ensuring that industrial waste is managed through reuse, recycling, energy recovery, or by being processed into alternative raw materials for cement and concrete block production, rather than being disposed of in landfill. All industrial waste is managed by licensed waste management service providers in accordance with applicable regulations. Waste management records, including waste manifests, certificates from waste management service providers, recycling records, and periodic waste reports, are maintained to substantiate this claim.

John Hardy has also taken measures to ensure that all claims made by the Company are truthful, accurate, and communicated to customers in a clear and appropriate manner. We have established a protocol to review all marketing materials and provide training to employees responsible for communicating these claims and responding to customer inquiries. This ensures that employees understand the claims and can explain them accurately and consistently.

Interested Parties may submit complaints or grievances relating to our claims through our Grievance Mechanism.
